First State Bank recognized as Corporate Citizen at Macomb Business Awards
First State Bank, the only Community Bank headquartered in Macomb County, received the Corporate Citizen Award at the Macomb Business Awards on February 10, 2015. More than 365 local business and community leaders were present at the event. Huel Perkins, anchor for Fox 2 Detroit, was the celebrity emcee and was joined by County Executive Mark A. Hackel to award recipients in six categories. In all, 53 organizations were recognized but only six took home an award.
Gene Lovell accepted the Corporate Citizen award on behalf of First State Bank, which was given in recognition of the time, effort, and talent the bank has contributed to Macomb County during 2014.
“First State Bank is Macomb County’s hometown bank and we are extremely honored to accept this award for the second year in a row. As a locally-owned bank with roots in the county since 1917, we have been and will continue to be a cornerstone in our community. We are dedicated to helping businesses, families and our communities prosper,” said Gene Lovell, Chief Executive Officer and President.
