Back2Business Program

The COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest have had a devastating impact on small businesses across the country, and we are committed to helping this critical segment of our economy emerge stronger. 

Fiserv is giving back to help small businesses get Back2Business with a program focused on helping to jump-start Black- and minority-owned small businesses in hard-hit communities. Back2Business is designed to help stabilize and grow small businesses, with business consulting services, leading Clover payments technology solutions from Fiserv and financial support for employee payroll, rent or lease payments, operations equipment and resources. To help us elevate economic inclusion and create transformative change, we’re partnering with AEO, who continues to join forces with market partners that believe in collaborating to drive wealth creation in underserved communities through entrepreneurship. 

In partnership with AEO, we are pleased to announce the Fiserv Back2Business Grants for Small Business Program, which will award up to $10,000 to Black- and minority-owned businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 and social unrest. We are equipping these businesses with vital education, coaching, and capital to truly fuel growth of our communities, creating sustainable business and shared value for all.

THREE LOCAL BUSINESSES HAVE ALREADY BEEN AWARDED GRANTS

Three First State Bank business customers have received $10,000 grants as part of the Fiserv Back2Business Program. The Back2Business Program is designed to strengthen minority-owned businesses as they emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the grant, recipients receive access to complimentary business expertise and the popular Clover^® point-of-sale platform from Fiserv. To date, Fiserv has presented nearly 900 grants to small businesses through the program.

The grant recipients were presented with their grant checks on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the First State Bank Rochester location. The recipients are:

Denise Lomax of Child Star Development Center, a childcare provider that treats children as unique individuals so they can become all they can be.

David Anderson of Anderson of Anderson & Son Painting, a painting company offering deck weatherproofing, wood finishing, deck refinishing, and other services.

Saad Attisha of Sahara Restaurant & Banquet Center, a restaurant and caterer providing Middle Eastern cuisine since 1982.

APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED!

The Back2Business program is now accepting applications. Small, minority-owned businesses within Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties are encouraged to apply for grants through the Back2Business program.
