Banksgiving Voting Opens to the Public

First State Banksgiving seeks to honor the charitable organizations who work so hard on a day-to-day basis to make change in our communities. First State Bank will be awarding $30,000 this Banksgiving. One Grand Gift Winner will receive a $10,000 donation. Four Gift Winners will each receive a $5,000 donation. The event is a county-wide, black-tie optional gala recognizing exemplary leaders in Sterling Heights and Macomb County who demonstrate outstanding civic leadership and community support. This year, the Foundation is honoring Dr. James Sawyer IV, the President of Macomb Community College with the 2022 Mayor Richard J. Notte Civic Service Leadership Award. Red Tie Gala

The It's a Village Foundation provides programs that benefit the entire family, mentoring youth, supporting seniors, and giving access to cultural enrichment. To finance their many programs, the Foundation relies on support from individuals, companies, and other organizations. Know Resolve's 15th annual Breaking The Silence gala for suicide awareness and prevention will be a celebration of life, and hope, and will feature entertainment, dancing, raffles, door prizes, a silent auction, dinner, and a premium open bar. The Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade is the largest Christmas parade in Michigan featuring over 100 entries marching down a 1.5 mile route.
