Where We Began & Beyond

First State Bank started in 1917 as Halfway State Bank, serving the village of Halfway—now known as Eastpointe—at 9 Mile and Gratiot. In 1929, we became First State Bank, and as Macomb County grew into the third-largest county in Michigan, we grew right along with it.
